Vascular Surgeon

Eric D. Wellons, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Wellons was born in Yokosuka, Japan. In 1987, he participated in the Dartmouth Foreign Study Program and the University of Massachusetts Exchange Program’s Chinese Program in Beijing, China and Taichung, Taiwan, respectively. Afterward, he graduated from Dartmouth College in 1990.

Once he earned his college degree, Dr. Wellons completed the Chinese language program at Middlebury College in 1992. In 1995, he graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, VA. While in medical school, he stayed in Shanghai, China from 1992 to 1993 to finish an externship in traditional Chinese medicine at the Shanghai Mental Health Hospital.

Dr. Wellons currently resides in Newnan, GA. In addition to his primary areas of practice, Dr. Wellons has also been educated in advanced trauma life support, vascular laboratory interpretation, and advanced laparoscopic techniques.

James M. Combs, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Combs graduated from the University of Georgia with Bachelor of Science degrees in molecular biology and biochemistry. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2005. Dr. Combs finished his fellowship in General Surgery Residency and Vascular Surgery at Atlanta Medical Center.

We are privileged to bring such a fine physician to this area. Dr. Combs is seeing patients at our Newnan and Fayetteville offices. Aside from vascular disease treatment, he has also been educated in advanced trauma life support and has completed the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) course and exam.

Courtney Grant, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Courtney Ladonna Grant is a Vascular Surgery Specialist. She graduated with honors from University Of North Carolina At Chapel Hill School Of Medicine in 2013.

John Dooley, M.D. M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Dooley graduated from GA Tech in 2005 with a degree in Biology Earned his Doctor of Medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2010. Completed his General Surgery Residency at Atlanta Medical Center in 2015 and his Vascular Fellowship at Greenville Health System, Greenville SC 2017.
