Dr. Wellons was born on May 3, 1968 in Yokosuka, Japan. In 1987, he participated in the Dartmouth Foreign Study Program and the University of Massachusetts Exchange Program’s Chinese Program in Beijing, China and Taichung, Taiwan, respectively. Afterward, he graduated from Dartmouth College in 1990.

Once he earned his college degree, Dr. Wellons completed the Chinese language program at Middlebury College in 1992. In 1995, he graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, VA. While in medical school, he stayed in Shanghai, China from 1992 to 1993 to finish an externship in traditional Chinese medicine at the Shanghai Mental Health Hospital.

Dr. Wellons currently resides in Newnan, GA. In addition to his primary areas of practice, Dr. Wellons has also been educated in advanced trauma life support, vascular laboratory interpretation, and advanced laparoscopic techniques.
